山桑子（Vaccinium myrtillus）又名歐洲藍莓，北歐、中歐是主要的生長區域，市售的山桑子果實與相關製品，大多為野生果實採集而得。山桑子含有大量具抗氧化作用的花青素，被認為有減緩眼睛疲勞的功能，因此山桑子萃取物常作為保健食品的原料。2017年11月統一企業主動將原料「去醣基山桑子萃取物」送至行政院原子能委員會核能研究所進行檢驗，發現其中含有輻射物質銫－137達477貝克／公斤，因此主動回收旗下的相關製品「預倍保明智膠囊」，並依法通報食藥署。

山桑子萃取物中的銫－137是從哪裡來？

本次從法國進口的山桑子萃取物被驗出銫－137，其實並不是漿果類製品第一次被驗出有放射性物質污染，2013年法國就傳出有機藍莓果醬遭銫－137污染，德國亦有雜誌報導市售多款果醬檢驗出銫－137， 這些銫－137究竟從何而來？推測是1986年車諾比核災事件產生大量的放射塵，飄散至鄰近的地區國家所致。銫－137在環境中的半衰期約為30年，目前環境中仍存有銫－137放射塵的機率很高，並可能因此污染野生的果實與動物。

山桑子萃取物的銫－137超標，到底可不可怕？

依照台灣《食品中原子塵或放射能污染容許量標準》的標準，一般食品（註1）中銫－134與銫－137的總和不得超過100貝克／公斤，此與日本的標準相同，相較於美國的標準1200貝克／公斤與歐盟標準600貝克／公斤，台灣的法規嚴格許多。本次統一企業檢驗山桑子萃取物中的含量雖達477貝克／公斤，但該產品為保健食品，型態為每顆0.6克的膠囊錠劑，且主成分為藻油，山桑子萃取物為次要之成分，實際能攝取到的銫－137含量可說是微乎其微。

在飲食中我們或有機會攝入含有銫-137的食物，然而一般狀態下要暴露到對人體有害的大量劑量是非常困難的（註2），因此民眾不必過於驚慌。而統一企業在本次事件中，發現可能的食安問題時即自主送驗、確認問題後並主動下架回收、通報食藥署，這樣的做法既是對消費者負責的表現，也是其他企業面臨相似危機時，值得效法的應對方式。

以該款「預倍保明智膠囊」產品來計算，到底要吃多少才會放射性物質攝取量超標呢？

原料去醣基山桑子萃取物驗出銫-137含量：477 貝克／公斤 假設每顆0.6克的膠囊內裝滿了山桑子萃取物：0.2862 貝克／1顆膠囊（0.6公克） 1年365天，每天吃1顆所攝取到的銫-137：104.463 貝克／365顆膠囊 銫-137活度劑量轉換因子：1.3 × 10^-5 毫西弗／貝克

每天吃1顆，過了1年約等於 0.001358019 毫西弗／年 銫放射線物質有效劑量的攝取量上限： 5毫西弗／年

結論：即便0.6公克膠囊內不裝主成份藻油，而是裝入滿滿的山桑子萃取物，離有效劑量還有3682倍，也就是每天都吃3682顆，連吃1年的程度。
